Industry

BHP is an Australian multinational mining, metals and petroleum dual-listed public company headquartered in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. BHP powers the resources economy in Australia and globally, employing over 30,000 people.

As part of deploying a global program of work, BHP needed transformation expertise to help instill a continuous improvement mindset across all employees and accelerate an existing transformation program to shape the future desired culture, which needed to pick up in momentum since it’s launch.

Solution

A bespoke change strategy was developed to drive this transformation and uplift the mindset required to shape the desired future culture of BHP.

The key focuses of this change strategy were to align the mindsets & behaviours of the company. Importantly, a strategy to mitigate change resistance was included to minimise risk around the transformation.

Impact

This change strategy was a success for BHP, and was a key driver in their cultural transformation.

BHP saw a 32% adoption rate improvement in a three month period, which set the 'gold standard' in a deployment approach within the BHP group.
