How soon will I find my first project?

If you’re transitioning from a permanent role it is important you connect with Expert360’s Strategy Community Lead, Rachel Quick, during your resignation period so that our team can support your transition and start sourcing for available projects. In comparison to traditional recruitment agencies, our projects turn around in a week.

For some Consultants with particular backgrounds and industry expertise that are in high demand, get in touch with us because you also may be eligible for a Sign-On Bonus and guaranteed work.

What is the typical length of projects I can expect? 

In the Strategy Practice area there are a mixture of short term (6-12 weeks) and longer term (3-6 months) projects. You have the power to choose the length of projects you engage in.

How and when am I paid? 

Expert360 manages the payment process for you. This includes invoicing the client and following up on payments. All of our Experts have access to a service that allows them to be paid within 14 days, or the use of our next day payment product.

It is important that you know exactly what you’re covered for. ‍This helps to speed up hiring time and avoid confusion due to last minute on-costs or the risk you’re not covered. Some clients require you to have insurance, and others do not so it’s always best to find out at the start of the project.

Do I need to look after my Super? 

Unlike full-time employment, the onus of contributing amounts to a superannuation fund falls back onto the freelancer. Expert360 have partnered with Future Super and Grow Super to make superannuation easy to understand and navigate as an independent consultant.
